Our Mission

The Finnish American Chamber of Commerce of the Northwest was formed in June 1981 and incorporated in the State of Washington, USA.

The primary goals of the chamber are:

  • To promote and develop good trade relations between Finland and USA.
  • To encourage the development of business relationships between companies in the U.S. Northwest and Finland.
  • To act as a forum and idea exchange among members of the FACC-NW in order to aid developing new business.
  • To act as a source of cultural, trade, and economic information.

Organization Profile

FACC-NW has a mandate to develop trade relations between interested parties in Finland and the U.S. Northwest (states of Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Western Montana).

Membership covers a broad range of American-Finnish trade and cooperation, and the members collectively constitute an accessible body of expertise in trade and export field.

Networking is enhanced through the affiliated eight sister chambers in the U.S. and one in Helsinki, Finland. Members also receive a bi-monthly newsletter. FACC-NW is also affiliated with the Council of European Chambers of Commerce in the State of Washington.

Members generally meet every month in the Seattle area for a social evening event and then a few times year for a luncheon and to listen to well-known speakers air their views on economic, trade, technology and political topics. Special meetings are held to coincide with trade delegation schedules or other events likely to interest the members.
