FACC Southeast
President's Message
Welcome to the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce of the Southeast Chapter!
The Finnish American Chambers of Commerce in the US share the same basic ideas. A Chamber is an organization and networking opportunity for individuals or companies in their region. The FACC Southeast Chapter organizes events for its members in order to share knowledge regarding different topics of the members’ interests and increase networking opportunities. Our standard events entail:
– Lunch and Learn Sessions
– Company Tours
– Social Networking Activities
The core membership of our Chapter has been very solid over the years as well as active even when personal business priorities interfere with our schedule. As a Chamber, we have been able to set certain annual traditions which have proven to be strong networking opportunities in the Southeast. One event clearly worth mentioning is our Independence Day Gala that takes place on December 6. It has attracted good speakers and new prospect members.
Even though history and traditions are good for any organization, the focus towards the future is vital for our success. Our 2008 focus areas are the internet and new members. Our goals are lifting our communication level via internet channels and ensuring active future members while setting up the “Young Professionals Club” under the FACC. Both of these projects have been started and implementation is on its way. I am personally looking forward to seeing new young members join our Chamber. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our project leader, Hannu Lindberg for his active role in this initiative.
Last but not least, I wish you all success in your business and hope the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce here in the Southeast USA is an active alternative for your networking needs.
Join the Chamber!
